The professional librarians of the Furman Smith Law Library are active members of a number of professional organizations including the American Association of Law Libraries and the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries. They frequently makes presentations on topics ranging from library management, ethics, access to legal materials, and technology issues.

The Law Library also sponsors presentations and workshop on a broad range of topics.
